
Asheville, NC — North Carolina Outward Bound School (NCOBS) is pleased to welcome Rob Sacasa as its new Director of Finance.
Rob joins NCOBS with over 20 years of finance, auditing, and compliance experience across corporate and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial & Operations Officer for YWCA of Asheville and Western North Carolina, where he successfully advanced the organization’s strategic priorities while overseeing finance, human resources, IT, and facilities. A former US Coast Guard Officer, Rob has held senior positions with Assurant Inc. and General Cable Corp., and held accounting/auditing roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and PPG Industries, Inc., earlier in his career. Rob serves on the Board of Directors for OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling, a Western North Carolina nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people achieve their money and housing goals through financial education, counseling, and support.
As Director of Finance for NCOBS, Rob will play a key role in driving long term financial sustainability and advancing the School’s strategic initiatives. With a people-centered approach to leadership, he strives to understand the needs, challenges, and goals of his colleagues to provide meaningful support and set them up for success. Drawn to NCOBS’s mission of changing lives through challenge and discovery, Rob is inspired to support an organization that helps students realize their true potential.
Residing in Asheville, Rob shares a passion for the outdoors with his wife and son. The three can often be found traveling, enjoying the outdoors together, and finding ways to give back to their community. Rob looks forward to seeing firsthand the impact that NCOBS courses can have on students’ lives.
