We know time, space, and other factors don't always allow you to be in the same location as your peers when you engage in learning opportunities. We also know that "Zoom call fatigue" is a real and challenging thing. That's why we're taking virtual training to a whole new level.
Since its inception more than 50 years ago, North Carolina Outward Bound School (NCOBS) has been at the forefront of experiential learning, a method of learning that engages learners of all ages and backgrounds in challenging experiences, followed by careful and insightful reflection. For our clients, these lessons can take place while hiking as a group in the wilderness, while using one of our state-of-the-art ropes courses, or working through team initiatives at a local park. Yet others might opt-in for our virtual learning programs where these lessons come to life from remote locations.
We offer virtual curriculums for educators, business professionals, and students. Each of which is adapted based on the needs of the group, but the basis of each program goes back to experiential learning: activity-based learning followed by intentional reflection and guided conversation which leads to newfound knowledge for each participant.
Imagine utilizing all the skills of teamwork to make a plan for a rescue with fellow castaways on a deserted island, orgoing through rounds of improvisational storytelling that requires focused listening and communication. These teamwork-based virtual initiatives are always performed live by our highly-trained educators and in real-time using video conferencing software.
